Chris Pratt shows off his extremely sunburnt back from his honeymoon

It seems Chris Pratt forgot the golden rule about having fun in the sun: always remember to slip, slop, slap.

The 40-year-old newlywed — who has been on his honeymoon in Hawaii — took to Instagram to show off his new "crispy" tan.

Revealing his shocking sunburn with his back turned to the camera, it's fair to say that the Guardians of the Galaxy star looks a lot like a cooked lobster.

"Suns out guns out I might have got a toouuuch [sic] crispy on the honeymoon #Aloe," he captioned the photo of his painful looking sunburn.

Celebrities were quick to comment on Pratt's tanning efforts.

"But at least you’re lean AF!," wrote Dave Bautista.

"I've got some GOOP for that," commented Gwyneth Paltrow.

Ethan Hawke hinted that he'd be sending the actor some aloe vera for a wedding gift.

"Now I know what to send for a wedding present." He added, "You don't have to work this hard to have an excuse to show off your tush! I thought it was inappropriate - my wife said, 'I love it!' Hmmmm."

Pratt's new wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, 29, simply left three fire emojis in the alarming photo's comments section.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger — the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger — tied the knot on June 9 in a lavish, star-studded ceremony.

Sharing a sweet photo of the two of them shortly after their big day, Pratt called it, "The best day of our lives."

"We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love. It was intimate, moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives.

He continued, "We are so thankful to our families and our friends who stood with us and grateful to Mr. Giorgio Armani who created a once in a lifetime dress for Katherine to wear and for me, the perfect suit."

He added, "This morning we feel nothing but blessed."

As for this new pink look he has going on, let's hope next time he remembers to apply some SPF to that fair skin of his.
