Chris Hemsworth's brothers Liam and Luke troll him in cheeky birthday posts shared on Instagram

Forget sentimental birthday wishes. In the Hemsworth family, it's trolling before tributes.

Liam Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth couldn't help but troll their brother Chris Hemsworth on his 38th birthday this week, each roasting him in never-before-seen photos that don't even feature the Thor star. 

That's right, instead of sharing images of the birthday boy, they proceeded to post pics of themselves while still greeting Chris.

"Happy birthday @chrishemsworth," Liam, 31, wrote alongside a shot of him and Luke, 40, wrestling under a waterfall.

A good sport, Chris went along with the joke.

"I'm the best photographer goin round," he commented. 

Luke, who is also an actor, couldn't resist trolling Chris too by posting a selfie of himself and Liam enjoying a trip in Western Australia. 

"Happy birthday brother @chrishemsworth !! Love you mate will remember this trip the Kimberly region for ever. So many memories together," Luke wrote, adding a laughing emoji.

Chris again played along, commenting alongside the selfie: "Yeh it was so much fun, kinda felt like a dream, kinda like I wasn't even there." 

The Avengers: Endgame star's famous friends found the posts funny, with actors Dan Macpherson and Tood Lasance, reality star Tim Robards, and Today host Karl Stefanovic all sending their love and LOLs. 

But Chris did get some love on the home front from his wife Elsa Pataky, who is the mother of his three children: India, nine, and twins Sasha and Tristan, seven. 

"Happy birthday to my favourite husband ever.😝You mean the world to me. For many more years of laughs and happiness," the actress wrote while sharing a slideshow of happy snaps.

Trolling aside, Chris said he had a great day with his family as he thanked them for the celebrations and cake.

"Thanks for all the birthday messages! Had an epic day with the family and succeeded in devouring 75% of this awesome cake that my kids made before collapsing into a giant sugary heap of joy. Love you all ! Cheers 🎂 🥳," he wrote on Instagram.
