It's not every day that you've got a superhero and a super-Swiftie strolling the streets of Brisbane, but that's just what happened when shooting of Thor: Ragnarok took over a corner of the CBD on Monday morning.

The film's stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston mingled with fans and extras as roads were closed around Margaret and Albert streets, which will double as New York City in Marvel's third standalone Thor movie.

Aussie hunk Chris, 33, and Taylor Swift's boyfriend Tom, 35, couldn't help but notice TODAY reporter Aislin Kriukelis shouting "Hi Thor! Can I have a wave?" As you can see, they were quite obliging indeed.

The co-stars, who have been filming up on the Gold Coast since July, will spend the next week on location in Brisbane as they play warring onscreen brothers Thor and Loki.
