Donald Glover postpones the remainder of his North American tour to 'focus on my physical health'

Donald Glover left his fans simultaneously heartbroken and delighted earlier this year when he announced his last album as Childish Gambino, as well as one final world tour under the alias.

However, Glover has now had to postpone that tour due to his health.

The singer and actor took to social media to alert fans of the disappointing news.

"hey everyone. unfortunately i have to postpone the rest of the north american tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks. hold onto your tickets," Glover wrote on social media.

"ALL tickets will be honored for the upcoming dates in north america when they are rescheduled. thanks for the privacy. thanks for the support. thanks for the love."

Glover kicked off the North American leg off the tour on August 11 at Paycom Centre in Oklahoma, and was set to make 33 stops across the country before wrapping things up on October 3 at United Centre in Chicago.

The Redbone singer is then set to take the Bando Stone and The New World tour to the UK and Europe, before heading to Australia and closing it out on February 11, 2025 at Perth's RAC Arena.

At the time of publishing, there is no word on whether or not the postponed shows in North America will affect any international tour dates.

It was back in July when Glover broke the news to fans that following this world tour, he would no longer be using the moniker Childish Gambino.

"It really was just like, 'Oh, it's done.' It's not fulfilling," Glover told The New York Times. "And I just felt like I didn't need to build in this way anymore.

"I'm not 25 anymore, standing in front of a boulder like, 'This has to move,'" he added. "You give what you can, but there's beauty everywhere in every moment. You don't have to build it. You don't have to search for it."
