Tom Hanks' rapper son Chet Hanks hits on Adele after Notting Hill photo on Instagram goes viral

Chet Hanks is sharing his love for Adele.

The rapper, who is the son of Tom Hanks, posted a video on Instagram where he blasts the Grammy Award winner's song 'Set Fire to the Rain' in his car while speaking in Patois.

"PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ADELE HIT MY LINE ASAP !!!!!!!!!!!!" he captioned the video. "I NEED TO TALK TO HER ABOUT SOMETHING."

His video comes after Adele recently went viral for posting a photo of herself wearing Bantu knots and a Jamaican flag print bikini to celebrate London's Notting Hill Carnival, which was cancelled this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Some Instagram users called her out, saying her look was appropriating Jamaican culture.

Hanks has also been accused of cultural appropriation after adopting a Jamaican accent and speaking in Patois for several years.

After initially denying the claims, the father-of-one addressed the backlash back in February.

"This has been an intense period of selfie reflection and it's been an enlightening period for me," he said in a since deleted video. "It's pretty crazy how I went from being the guy that's invited to the cookout, to now being the poster child for white privilege.

"I am who I am. I realise that although it may be easy for me to feel like I can be free to be who I am if I so choose to, I realise that people of colour might not feel that they have that same freedom because they are worried that in them just being the most honest and real versions of themselves that they will have to deal with real consequences from it because we still do live in a society that has systemic racism and oppression."
