Charlie Sheen replies to actress Soleil Moon Frye's claim he was her first 'consensual sexual experience'

Charlie Sheen has responded to actress Soleil Moon Frye after she revealed a sexual encounter that unfolded between them in a new documentary.

Frye, 44 — who starred on Punky Brewster and is at the centre of a new Hulu documentary titled Kid 90 — says Sheen was her "first consensual sexual experience" when she was 18 years old.

In response, 55-year-old Sheen told Us Weekly in a statement, "She's a good egg. I wish Soleil well in this resurgence of hers."

However, Sheen hasn't had the chance to watch the documentary yet.

"It's on my list to watch and very near the top," he said.

In the documentary, the Proud Family actress reads from her diary about the "most strange and incredible day ever" in an entry from 1994. She also referred to him as her "Mr. Big", a reference to Chris Noth's character in Sex and The City.

"He's somebody I've had a crush on for years. He's a person that intrigues me and excites me," she wrote in the diary entry.

Their rendezvous occurred when Frye was 18 years old, and Sheen was 29.

Even to this day, the pair have maintained a close bond and are still in communication.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Frye said, "He was really kind to me, and I can only speak to my experience and my story with him."

"It was very sweet and he had been really kind to me and treated me really beautifully. And for all these years afterwards, in some of the most pivotal moments in my life, has checked in and [offered] his support."

The actress has been cast in notable roles like Sabrina the Teenage Witch and the Bratz TV series and, of course, the '80s sitcom Punky Brewster.
