Former Hi-5 star Charli Robinson reveals skin cancer scare amid first pregnancy

Just two months after announcing she's expecting her first baby, Charli Robinson has shared some more news, this time not as pleasant.

The 38-year-old Getaway presenter revealed on Instagram that her dermatologist has discovered a pre-cancer mole on her top lip, and there's not much that can be done while she's pregnant.

"Not a sexy pout! and no filter can cover it!" she said on Instagram alongside a photo of the infected area. "What started as just a very small red dot on my lip, turns out it was a pre skin cancer that really needs to be removed!"

Robinson is currently 26 weeks pregnant -- she and race car driver Liam Talbot will welcome their daughter in January -- so she can't undergo more invasive methods other than laser treatment.

"Because we have time [the doctor] wants to try that first," Robinson replied to a curious fan who asked why she won't just cut it out even while pregnant. "Then a cream option (but we can't do that) then the cut option if I need it. Think Dr is being extra cautious of the sensitive area (lip) and while pregnant if we can try laser we'll do that option first."

The former Hi-5 member announced her pregnancy news back in August as she Talbot enjoyed a babymoon in Fiji while she was 17 weeks pregnant.

"BABYMOON!!!!! Our Fiji holiday was our last as two! @liamtalbotracing & I are so excited. Baby girl due January."

The news was that much sweeter because Robinson had suffered a miscarriage earlier on in her two-year relationship with Talbot.

"Afterwards was the tough part. I kept thinking I was broken because I hadn't had my period again and was waiting for my body to reset," she told New Idea earlier this year. "It's given me a complete new understanding for women out there and I love that the conversation about miscarriages it so open at the moment, because it's such an isolating thing for a woman. It made us ready to be parents."
