Celine Dion's priceless reaction to fan serenading her with her hit 'I Surrender'

Celine Dion just gave the best reaction to a fan belting out their take on her 2002 ballad 'I Surrender'.

As Dion was leaving the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City earlier this week, a fan embraced the rare opportunity to sing for the Grammy winner as she passed her in a car.

Yesterday, a short clip of the encounter was shared to Twitter, where the exchange has already amassed 3.8 million views.

"I'd hold you in my arms and never let go / I surrender," the woman can be heard singing to Dion, who was rocking a pair of cat-eye shades and 60s inspired jacket.

Social media commentators were obsessed with Dion's seemingly deadpan reaction to the impromptu performance, and responded accordingly:

However, two longer clips of the encounter posted by Freida Soloman, the singer in the clip, tell a different story.

In the Instagram videos, Dion is heard quickly instructing her driver to stop the car so she can listen to Soloman serenading her.

She then validates the young singer with a fist-bump, saying, "be blessed, thanks so much for that" and "thank you for singing for me."

Soloman captioned the post: "Seen at the @fourseasons. Celine Dion: Thank you for singing for me. Me: Thank you for singing for me my whole life! Such an honour to sing to you @celinedion Starstruck is an understatement."

Since the clip went viral, Soloman has opened up about the once in a life time opportunity to sing for her idol.

"[I've] been singing her songs and listening to her since I was little, so this was too good of an opportunity to pass up," Soloman told E! News.

"And she was so gracious, I couldn't resist... I've loved her and her music for years and had to stay to see her."

She continued: "When she went into her car and closed the door, I knew I lost my chance at speaking to her. But then I asked her to roll down her window, which she did.

"I told her how I grew up listening to her sing with Andrea Bocelli and how she's been an icon in my life and out of nowhere I started singing 'I Surrender,' one of her most famous songs."
