Britney Spears' mother Lynne Spears has requested that she become involved in her daughter's finances.

Lynne filed a request with the Los Angeles County Court to receive special notice on "all matters" that relate to Spears' SJB Revocable Trust, court documents obtained by ET state.

In 2004, Britney filed the SJB Revocable Trust in order to protect her fortune, and to set up her sons for the future.

The pop star is the mother to Jayden, 13, and Sean, 14, who she shares with ex Kevin Federline.

The Blast, who was the first to report the news, stated that the trust was created to "hold and manage her material financial assets during her lifetime, and provide distribution of those assets upon her death."

It's not the first time that Lynne has expressed an interest in getting involved in her daughter's conservatorship.

"Britney's mother has always wanted to have a position in Britney's conservatorship," a source told ET in May 2019. "Her mum has tried at different points over the years to have some sort of say."

According to People, the singer's "care manager" Jodi Montgomery was appointed as temporary conservator at Jamie's request.
