Bill Hader and Rachel Bilson split six months after going public with their relationship

It's over. Bill Hader and Rachel Bilson have reportedly split just six months after going public with their relationship at the start of the year.

According to People, the 42-year-old Barry star and the 38-year-old The O.C. actress split amicably.

The pair first sparked romance rumours in December when they were spotted together getting coffee in Tulsa, Oklahoma where the funnyman is from.

On January 4, Hader and Bilson confirmed their relationship when they attended the Golden Globe awards together while holding hands on the red carpet.

Shortly afterwards, a source told People that it seemed like they were in "a serious relationship" and that "they spend a lot of time together."

"It seems like a fun relationship," the insider told the outlet at the time. "She won't stop laughing when she's with Bill," the source continued. "He is very sweet and considerate to her. Quick to open doors and acts very attentive."

Bilson and the Saturday Night Live star shared the screen in 2013 when they co-starred in the romantic comedy The To Do List.

While Bilson has never been married, she was previously in a relationship with actor Hayden Christensen for 10 years from 2007 to 2017. The former couple share a daughter, Briar Rose, five. Bilson, who played Summer on The O.C., also dated her onscreen lover, Adam Brody who played the character Seth, for three years between 2003 and 2006.

Hader was previously married to film director Maggie Carey from 2006 to 2018. They share three children — Hannah Kathryn, 10, Harper, seven, and Hayley Clementine, five.
