Ben Affleck continues treatment for alcohol addiction seven months after rehab stint

Ben Affleck remains on the road to recovery.

The Batman v Superman star is continuing to seek treatment for alcohol addiction, seven months after revealing he completed a stint in rehab, US Weekly confirmed.

The actor was spotted leaving a Los Angeles treatment center on October 4.

"Ben looked so happy," a source told the magazine. "He was in such a good mood and looked refreshed."

In August, a separate source told the publication that Ben had vowed to put his health and family first.

"Ben is taking the utmost care of himself and working on himself continuously and being the best father and best person he can be," the source continued.

"Since his last round of rehab, he has learned what works for him in terms of living a happy and healthy life. He took himself off a film to focus on himself, his health, his family and his happiness. He is proactively putting himself in the right situations to be happy, healthy and succeed. He’s trying to live a normal life and is focused on putting his family first."

"I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I've dealt with in the past and will continue to confront," he said.

"I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step."

One month later, in April, Ben and estranged wife Jennifer Garner, 45, filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage. The couple had announced their split in June 2015 but have continued to co-parent their three children, daughters Violet, 11, and Seraphina, eight, and son Samuel, five.

Ben has been quietly dating Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus since early July.
