Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas are 'officially dating'

After being spotted together multiple times, it's been reported that Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas are now an item, with Affleck's ex-wife Jennifer Garner even giving her seal of approval to the budding romance.

"Ben and Ana are happy together and officially dating," a source confirmed to Us Weekly.

The insider added that Garner, who has since moved on with businessman boyfriend John Miller, is supportive of her ex-husband's new relationship.

"She considers him a friend, thinks he is a good dad to their children and respects him [and is] happy for him and his relationship," they said.

Affleck and Garner ended their decade-long marriage in 2015, officially divorcing in 2018. They share three children together: daughters Violet, 14, and Seraphina, 11, and son Samuel, seven.

The Gone Girl actor recently opened up about his marriage breakdown, speaking candidly to Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America about coming to terms with getting a divorce and his path to sobriety.

"I didn't want to get divorced, I didn't want to be a divorced person, I really didn't want to be a split family with my children." Affleck said. "It upset me because it meant I wasn't who I thought I was and that was so painful and so disappointing. In myself."

Affleck, who has been to rehab three times for alcoholism, reflected on his history of drinking, saying, "I really don't want my children to pay for my sins."

Affleck, 47, and de Armas, 31, play husband and wife in the upcoming psychological thriller, Deep Water, and spent months filming together in Louisiana.

A fan in New Orleans tweeted, after spotting them at a bar together in January.

"Ben Affleck right behind me spitting game to Ana de Armas in Spanish all night long is a vibe" the onlooker wrote.

The pair sparked further rumours earlier this month when they were spotted out and about in Havana, Cuba, where de Armas is from, with onlookers quick to notice their chemistry.

"They were beaming. I saw Ana grab Ben's arm as they walked out together, they looked super happy — she's absolutely stunning!" a source told Page Six, adding: "I totally think they're dating."
