The rockstar, 33, opened up about his sexuality on May 23, with his wife vowing to “love and support” him following the revelation.
“There’s been a lot of speculation surrounding my personal life as of late,” Shomo began his post.
“I am a proudly gay man.”
He said he had been “unpacking and reckoning” with this for quite some time and “spent a decade burying feelings with alcohol”.
But after quitting, he finally faced the root of his mental health struggles.
“It’s been a direct path to me reconciling with my sexuality in hopes that it will eventually lead me to experiencing self-love,” Shomo went on.
He later opened up on the Disrespectfully podcast with Vanderpump Rules′ Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan about the moment he told his wife.
“I was just bawling my f---ing eyes out, trying so hard to verbalise,” he recalled.
He went on to say he kept his sexuality hidden for years before recalling the exact words he said to her.
“The way that, like, I feel about girls, I feel about guys,” he said.
“There’s something there that I’ve been running from for a long f---ing time. And I don’t think I want to run anymore.”
Following his coming out, Fleur said everything since that moment had been challenging for them both.

“The past few months have been a very disorientating and hurtful time to navigate, for both of us. But I will always want to love, protect and support Caleb,” she said in her own social media statement.
She admitted she felt “anger” as the life she knew became “completely demolished”.
“My mental health has suffered,” she said, but she would never question their history.
“Our story was a good one. And now it’s done,” she concluded before thanking fans for their support.
