'Bachelor' star Georgia Tripos admits she dealt cocaine

A former contestant on hit TV show The Bachelor Australia has admitted dealing cocaine in Melbourne, alongside her friend who is accused of advertising drugs under the pseudonym "Charlie" on Craigslist.

Georgia Tripos pleaded guilty in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday to trafficking cocaine in February and March last year.

However, she will stand trial in the County Court after denying that $3136 found in her car and $3500 found in a safe at her parent's home were the proceeds of crime.

She also denied dealing party drug N-Ethylpentylone - an allegation that will also go before a jury.

Tripos' friend Kristiana Karakostas also faced court on Friday and pleaded not guilty to trafficking cocaine, possessing cocaine, possessing methylamphetamine and trafficking N-Ethylpentylone.

However, her lawyer Adam Chernok said Karakostas would later plead guilty to the cocaine trafficking charge.

According to court documents, Karakostas posted ads on Craigslist under the pseudonyms "Charlie" and "Bob".

"Grab some White VIP for $350," the ad allegedly read.

"Best in Melbourne. Sort out your weekend properly. Message Charlie."

Another ad, from "Bob", allegedly offered "$350 per G for VIP".

It is alleged that when police searched Tripos' home and car, she had no answer when asked where the money came from.

However, her defence lawyer Damien Shields argued the money could have been obtained legitimately as she was "gainfully employed".

The court also heard text messages downloaded from the women's phones showed them talking about a substance called "N" and also discussed an amount of $13,500.

However, Mr Shields argued any jury shouldn't "guess" or speculate what "N" was.

Both women were bailed to appear at the County Court on Monday for a directions hearing.

Tripos was a contestant on season four of The Bachelor, which screened during 2016.

During her time on the show, she described herself as an practising artist, an "alpha female", an "over-achiever" and "very educated" with a "very mushy heart like a marshmallow".
