'Bachelor in Paradise' 2019: Alex and Brooke give in to their 'sexual chemistry' as they share passionate kiss

Alex Nation and Brooke Blurton didn't find love on their respective seasons of The Bachelor Australia, but they may have found it with each other after that steamy kiss on Bachelor in Paradise.

Mum-of-one Alex threw a curveball last night when she used her single-date card on Brooke, a fellow contestant she's had her eye on since arriving in Fiji.

"I know exactly who I want to take on this date," Alex told producers. "Some people aren't going to be happy. There could be a target on my back because I'll piss a lot of people off."

Indeed, Alex's male suitors were shocked when she opted to take Brooke on the single date. As Alex herself explained, she felt like she was in a "love hexagon" with her suitors Bill Goldsmith and James Trethewie, as well as Nathan Favro and Alex Bordyukov, who are interested in Brooke.

One person who was "so bloody happy" with Alex's choice was, of course, Brooke. Rubbing it in the men's faces, the pair giggled as they left the group with Alex then cheekily pinching Brooke's bottom.

"I suppose I really wanted to have this time with you because I just wanted it to be away from all the noise," Alex later told Brooke as they sat entwined on the couch. "I, obviously, I really like you, you make me nervous."

Brooke assured her there was nothing to be nervous about and gave Alex the greenlight to kiss her.

"You want to kiss me you're just getting real shy about it. You've forgotten how to do it, I think, you have forgotten," Brooke teased, before Alex went in for one killer of a kiss.

Later in separate confessionals, the smitten pair continued to gush about each other.

"There has always been a lot of sexual chemistry between us," said Brooke, while Alex admitted, "Holy s--- this chick! The energy is just so intense. We feel it from head to toe. It gives you goosebumps and all the butterflies."

Poor James -- who thought he and Alex had a connection -- was so threatened by the single date that he bowed out of the show altogether just before the rose ceremony.

"The only person here I really wanted to explore a connection with is you. And I don't know if I can handle watching you explore everyone else. And you need to 'cause that's how you feel," a heartbroken James told Alex before his departure. "I would rather you explore that and when you're out, call me."

And James may still be in with a shot because at the rose ceremony Alex gave her rose to Bill, not Brooke. Yep, the curveballs just keep coming…
