Aussie soap star Scarlet Vas expecting second child with stepbrother and husband

Neighbours alum Scarlet Vas is expecting her second child with her stepbrother and husband, Tayo Ricci.

The unconventional couple met when they were teenagers and began dating later in life. They then became step-siblings when their parents fell in love; however, that did not stop them from continuing their relationship.

Vas, 31, and Ricci, 29, announced their exciting baby news in a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday.

“We couldn’t keep this a secret any longer...,” they captioned the post.

The pair also posted a carousel of photos, holding their firstborn child and an ultrasound image.

“The doctor called. Apparently we’re having another baby,” they confirmed.

The pair married in 2023 in Greece, welcoming their daughter Silva in 2024.

They have been together for 11 years, meeting when they were young through mutual friends.

The couple have previously clarified that there is no blood relation between them, with Vas telling the UNCENSORED with Mario Adrion podcast: “We’re not blood, though. So it’s fine, like, that would be weird. That’d be weird!”

The pair welcomed their first child on Christmas morning, also sharing the news to Instagram at the time.

“Our Christmas miracle has finally arrived. Merry Christmas from our family to yours,” Vas wrote, alongside the image which covers the baby’s face.

Vas is best known for her role as police officer Mishti Sharma on the Australian soap opera Neighbours.

Ricci is a musician and content creator.
