Aussie singer Sia marries filmmaker after whirlwind romance

Here's news that'll make you want to swing from the chandelier… Aussie singer-songwriter Sia Furler is married!

The reclusive 38-year-old pop star tied the knot with documentary filmmaker Erik Anders Lang at her home in Palm Springs, California, on Saturday, according to The Mirror.

"Omg omg I'm so excited," Sia tweeted cryptically earlier in the day. Now we know why!

The lovebirds enlisted controversial celebrity photographer Terry Richardson to take photos at the wedding, Radar Online reports.

Sia and Erik didn't waste any time sealing the deal — the pair only announced their engagement eight weeks ago.

The Adelaide-born star, who has written hits for the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce and David Guetta, announced her engagement through her mum, Adelaide artist Loene Furler.

However, Sia was reportedly overheard telling a photographer she was engaged while filming her appearance on Ellen in May.

In early June, the 'Chandelier' singer flashed her ring — and her man — at the Wayuu Taya charity gala in New York. Erik later wrote on Instagram: "That's an engagement ring, folks."

Sia, who previously came out as bisexual, once hoped to marry ex-girlfriend Jocelyn "JD" Sampson, lead singer of electro-punk band Le Tigre. The pair split in 2011.

Sia's profile has skyrocketed in 2014 with her sixth album 1000 Forms of Fear debuting at number one on the US Billboard charts last month.
