Now this is just plain weird, FIXers. Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson has secured a restraining order against a man who claims he was "instructed by God" to pursue her romantically.
According to court documents obtained by E! News, 49-year-old James P. Gorton, a security guard at the lot where Ashley works, "had expressed sexual feelings" towards the star... and was "falling in love with her" after seeing her at a coffee shop "over a year ago."
In a legal declaration included with the court docs, Ashley also stated that "Mr Gorton believed that God had spoken to him through her character on Pretty Little Liars". Erm, no wonder she was concerned!
What's worse is that Gorton had also previously told members of his church that he "planned to marry" the 24-year-old actress, before revealing his plans to "live happily ever after together."
James has been ordered to stay at least 90 metres from the Spring Breakers star and refrain from coming to work on the lot or contacting Ashley pending a hearing on July 9 to determine whether or not the AVO should be extended.
