Ariel Winter looks fierce, slightly out of place in latest red carpet appearance: Photos

Ariel Winter knows how to flaunt it.

Unless you've been living under some kind of pre-internet rock, you'd know the 19-year-old Modern Family actress is proud of her body, and isn't afraid to stand up to the body-shamers.

So, it was hardly surprising that the sitcom star opted for a very sexy get-up for her latest red carpet appearance alongside her Modern Family castmates, as they attended a screening of the season eight finale in California on Wednesday.

Ariel looked every bit glam in a tiny gold embellished dress, complete with mesh front panels that proudly revealed her upper thigh, and a very low-cut neckline.

Meanwhile, her fellow cast members opted for a slightly more conservative look - choosing mainly jeans, shirts and sneakers - and a below-the-knee dress for her youngest colleague, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons who plays Lily on the show.

Ariel, clearly aware she looked a little different from her co-stars, looked stunning, fierce and most importantly confident as she posed for the camera.

Like Kim Kardashian, Iskra Lawrence and many other body positive advocates, the young star uses social media to spread her message of self-love and acceptance. She also uses her platform to talk about her breast reduction surgery that she underwent in 2016.

In January, she opened up about her journey to confidence while putting her scars on display for Self magazine.  

"It was hard for me in the beginning to deal with people’s comments and deal with everybody having an opinion on absolutely everything I did," Ariel revealed to the publication. "It was hard for me to not fall prey to wanting to change the way I felt and the way I did things and the way I looked because of what other people said."

"But as I got older, I started to realise that as long as I’m positive in my life - and as long as I feel good about my decisions, and stick to how I feel and the things I want to do - that’s what’s most important," she said. "And that’s what’s going to get me through in life."
