Ariana Grande shuts down Ryan Seacrest, ultimately confirms Mac Miller relationship to Ellen

Ariana Grande is not here for your prying relationship questions.

The 23-year-old refused to comment on her relationship with Mac Miller to Ryan Seacrest, only to face another interrogation from Ellen DeGeneres a few hours later.

When Seacrest noted that the 'Side to Side' singer's recent snuggly Instagram with the 24-year-old rapper - casually captioned "baabyyy" - seemed to confirm their relationship, Ariana freaked the ef out.

"Oh, is that what I did?" she fired back. "Is that what Instagram means to you now? Alright world, let's go…How did we get there? What was that segue? What are you asking?…You said a sentence, there was no question."

While the radio host argued that anything someone with, say, 84.1 million followers posts on Instagram instantly becomes "something" of public interest, Ariana was not having it.

"If I post something, that's what I'm willing to share at the moment," snapped the former Nickelodeon star, who previously dated - and openly gushed about - Big Sean and Nathan Sykes.

"But it doesn't mean that you, Ryan Seacrest, with millions of listeners, are entitled to more information."

Fast forward a few hours to Ariana's appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (which was actually taped earlier in the week), however, and the pint-sized powerhouse just didn't have it in her to resist Ellen's charm.

"This is so crazy. I've never, like, had the relationship talk on a show before," she said, hiding behind her hands, when Ellen brought up Mac.

"But you're with him, right, and you're happy and stuff?" the host pressed on.

"Oh, yeah," she responded flatly, bopping up and down in discomfort. "Thanks."

Sorry Ariana, but we're Team Seacrest/Ellen on this one. You cannot post a picture rolling around on the floor with a man you are rumoured to be dating, caption it "baabyyy", and expect people to just ignore that tea.

Even us plebes know that moves that like that are made for provoking crazy old aunts and second cousins to comment, "Are y'all dating? Need details, please!"

You can decline to comment, but don't act surprised by the question.
