Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith reunite in Paris three years after ‘separation’ bombshell

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have put on a united front in Paris despite the bombshell revelation in 2023 they had secretly separated.

Smith, 57, and Pinkett Smith, 54, reunited on the red carpet for son Jaden Smith’s Paris Fashion Week debut. Their support of Jaden’s new fashion move marks their first red-carpet appearances together since May 2024.

The couple who have been married since 1997 revealed they had been living “completely separate lives” since 2016, although their current relationship status remains unclear.

The high-profile pair stepped out to celebrate 27-year-old son Jaden, as he debuted his first collection as the men’s creative director for fashion house Christian Louboutin.

The star-studded event turned in to a family affair as Smith and Pinkett Smith posed for photos alongside daughter Willow, 25, and son Trey, 33.

The family were also joined by Pinkett Smith’s mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, 72.

The family locked arms and smiled for cameras wearing sleek, coordinated black and gold ensembles.

The Men In Black star matched with son Trey as they opted for a relaxed tailored look. They paired wide-leg dress pants with an oversized black blazer and crisp white tee.

Smith completed his look with a pop of colour sporting a statement red bandana and striking diamond brooch.

Pinkett Smith matched with her daughter, both turning heads in dramatic two-piece sets.

The mum paired her strapless bandeau top with a gold collared choker and a voluminous ruffled skirt that featured a thigh-high split.

Despite having one of the longest-standing marriages in Hollywood, Smith and Pinkett Smith’s union has been plagued with rumours of breakups and makeups particularly in the past five years.

In October 2023, while promoting her memoir Worthy, Pinkett Smith revealed she and Smith had been secretly separated since 2016.

She said they were “still trying to figure out between the two of us, how to be in partnership,” she said in a clip from her NBC News primetime special at the time.

Days later, she also said that despite their split, they would never get divorced.

At the end of 2023, Pinkett Smith somewhat backflipped on their announcement, telling Drew Barrymore in an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show she and Smith are “staying together forever.”
