Apple Martin makes her music video debut after copping backlash for her singing during a live performance

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter, Apple Martin recently copped backlash for her singing after taking to the stage in Nashville.

Now, despite the negative response from critics on social media, Apple, 21, has made her music video debut, appearing in an official video clip for indie band Jade Street and their song Satellites, whch she is believed to have performed on stage.

The video is believed to be footage from the Nashville performance and has been shared on the band's YouTube page.

She is seen performing in a white ribbed singlet and black skirt, and wears her blonde locks out and around her face.

Apple is the spitting image of her famous mother and, at the end of the clip, she's seen sticking out her tongue as the crowd cheers.

Footage of her recent performance went viral and viewers were ruthless in their critiques, especially because of her famous parents.

"Someone really needs to tell her," one user wrote underneath a TikTok video.

"Not her calling," another wrote.

"I may actually NOT be the worst singer ever!" another quipped.

But some came to defence of Apple.

"Ok, it can't be as bad as this sounds, is something wrong with acoustics," another said.

"In her defense, it's possible that she can't hear herself. It's hard to stay in tune when you can't hear your own voice," one wrote.

"She was actually so good live," another shared.

Her actress mother Paltrow recently shared an insight into her parenting style to People and said she wants her kids to be themselves.

She and Apple recently posed up for a GAP campaign together.

"I think I really encourage them to be true to themselves and, like, to do what feels right to them," she told the publication.

"I think all the mistakes I made were being talked in or out of something."

"I really want them, even if I don't agree with it... I want them to be really true to their idea of their purpose and their individuality.

"She [Apple] still has another year of college, so I'm like right, soak it in, and you know, it goes really fast," she added.
