Actor Andy Dick has revealed the first words he uttered after being revived by paramedics over a near-fatal overdose.

The revelation comes just one week after the comic actor checked out of his Palm Springs treatment centre, to which he'd voluntarily admitted himself following the incident six weeks earlier.

Appearing on Jamie Kennedy's Hate To Break It To Ya podcast, Dick, 60, spoke of the recent brush with death during which his heart reportedly stopped.

The star's voluntary rehab stint in December came in the wake of renewed concerns over his battle with addiction.

Disturbing photos had previously surfaced of Dick slumped over on a Hollywood streetcorner, and he was admitted to treatment days later.

When asked by Kennedy if he'd been unresponsive prior to being resuscitated by on-scene paramedics, Dick gave a shocking reply.

"That's what they say," he confirmed.

"They say my heart stopped. And I stopped breathing. And they had to use that stuff, Narcan."

Narcan is a life-saving medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdoses (from heroin, fentanyl, or prescription medication) by blocking the drug from attaching to brain receptors.

The star, best known for a starring role on 90's sitcom NewsRadio, has been candid about his struggles with substance abuse over the years.

In 2012, he admitted to cycling in and out of various facilities while battling cocaine and alcohol addiction.

The actor's career has since been marred by scandal, having faced a number of sexual misconduct charges over the years – which eventually culminated in his registration as a sex offender in 2022.

In 2007, Dick was forcibly removed from the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage for repeatedly touching and trying to kiss fellow guest Ivanka Trump.

The viral segment showed Kimmel attempting to keep Dick away from Trump as he ran hands up and down her legs.

He was later fired from indie film Raising Buchanan in 2017 following sexual harassment and misconduct allegations on set.

Dick is now reportedly "doing well" following his latest stint in rehab, and is now residing in a sober living facility in Beverly hills.
