Sweet moment Alanis Morissette brings eight-year-old daughter on stage for special duet
Alanis Morissette fans were able to witness a very special moment when the singer-songwriter brought her daughter on stage for a duet.
On Monday (overnight in Australia), the 50-year-old You Oughta Know musician was performing in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of her Triple Moon Tour, when her daughter Onyx Solace Morissette-Treadway – who turned eight that day – took the stage.
In footage shared to TikTok from the concert, Morissette leads the crowd in singing Happy Birthday to Onyx, before the duo launch into a rendition of Morissette's hit Ironic.

Morissette later took to Instagram with a public message to Onyx, written alongside a photo of the moment the two of them sang together on stage.
"birthday angel girl moment 💫✨," she wrote.
"singing ironic together 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🎂🥹🥹🥹🥹 i love you so much onyx you are my dream daughter ❤️❤️🩷🩷 #8 #happybirthday #nashville #i❤️younashville ✨✨✨".
Morissette's husband, musician Mario 'Souleye' Treadway, commented: "My heart 🫠 🤯 🙏".
The songstress and Treadway, who married in 2010, share three children together: 13-year-old son Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway, eight-year-old daughter Onyx, and four-year-old son Winter Mercy Morissette-Treadway.
In 2020, just after Winter was born, Morissette posed while breastfeeding her youngest for Health magazine's May cover.

"I love mums so much. If I talk about it too much, I'll start crying," Morissette told the publication while explaining her passion for mothers and motherhood.
"I just think mums are so selfless day in and day out – women are just killing it all the time."
Two years later, during an appearance on Audacy's K-EARTH 101, Morissette revealed her children listen to her music.
"They do [listen], even when I'm like 'shut that off!'," she laughed. "They're so sweet."
