Adele responds to claims she's skipping the Grammys: 'I would never be as disrespectful'
Adele has put an end to persistent rumours she's skipping this year's Grammy awards.
The 15-time Grammy winner told her audience at a recent Los Angeles show that she would "never disrespect" the awards night.
"I've been getting texts all week being like 'How come you're not going to the Grammys?'" she said in a now-viral clip.

"Who said I wasn't going to the Grammys, man? Whoever started that rumour is a dickhead, because I am going to the Grammys," she revealed.
"I would never miss the Grammys. I would never be as disrespectful to the Grammys or to other artists.
"And whoever started that story needs to go and touch some grass. Go and get some fresh air."
The rumours have spread among Adele's fanbase, with many claiming the 34-year-old would duck out of the event, set to be held in Los Angeles on February 6.

This, according to fans, was despite Adele bagging seven nominations on the night.
Her nominations include Album of the Year for 30, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for Easy on Me, Best Pop Solo Performance for Easy on Me, Best Pop Vocal Album for 30, Best Music Video for Easy on Me and Best Music Film for her production Adele One Night Only.
She is notably going head-to-head once again with Beyoncé for the coveted nominations of Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year – awards she has previously won before.
Adele is currently completing her Los Angeles residency at The Colosseum theatre at Caesars Palace.
Last January, a tearful Adele announced to fans that she would have to cancel her residency as her show was not ready to be performed. Instagram

The residency was famously cancelled by the singer on January 21 last year, due to major disruptions because of COVID-19.
In a tearful video, Adele told fans that her show was simply not ready and that she would not put on a performance she wasn't happy with "just because I have to".
Adele finally began her much-awaited string of shows on November 18 last year, with her final show to be held on March 25 this year.
