Mariah Carey instantly 'hit it off' with James Packer as she shows off jewels from Aussie billionaire

It's the unlikely romance of 2015, with Mariah Carey and James Packer making us all mouth "WTF" when they stepped out in Italy in late June.

And now Mariah is finally ready to let us know the details surrounding their relationship, saying the pair met in Aspen "a few years ago" and had an instant chemistry.

It was only when they met again at the Hercules premiere in July last year – two months after Mariah's divorce from Nick Cannon - that romance blossomed.

But hold up! We can't help but wonder what TV host Nick thinks about this latest revelation?

The pair holidayed in the Colorado ski destination every Christmas since they got together in 2008 and then married a year later.

Is Mimi hinting that she was still with Nick when she was bowled over by a certain Packer? It sure sounds like it.  

But we don't think the 45-year-old is really bothered by any scandal she might stir. She's too busy admiring the diamond necklace the Aussie billionaire got her in this vid.
