Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O to be offered $12million to return to Southern Cross Austereo
Reports out on Sunday reveal that Southern Cross Austereo are putting together a hefty deal to attract their former breakfast radio stars, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O.
Sources told Sydney Confidential that the radio station will offer around $12million for the pair to return, after they left in November 2013 for the Australian Radio Network
If the deal is successful, it would see the radio duo return to the breakfast slot on the newly rebranded Hit 104.1 2Day network, formerly 2Day FM, in 2017.
But will the money be enough? It's no secret the pair's departure was a little bitter, with SCA failing to agree on terms for Kyle and Jackie O's new contract.
Following their departure to ARN, there were some leaks about the duo's behavior off-air, with a audio of the pair bagging out their audience and co-workers. Listen below.
Following the revelations, Kyle told the newspaper: "I like that figure though — $12 million a year is a nice number."
Adding that he believed ARN would counter offer, driving-up his annual figure "nicely".
