2015 AMAs: Celine Dion brings crowd to tears over Paris attacks tribute

There was not a dry eye in the house as Celine Dion paid tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks at the 2015 American Music Awards.

With a montage of the city's landmarks behind her, the 47-year-old French-Canadian singer sang in her native language to Edith Piaf's 'Hymne à L'Amour' ('Hymn to Love'). Watch the powerful moment above.

Jared Leto introduced Celine: "The American Music Awards wanted to show their support to the people of France and the entire world.

"To that end, they asked the woman who possesses one of the world's great voices to perform an iconic song made famous by the legendary French artist Edith Piaf."

Piaf wrote 'Hymne à L'Amour' as a tribute to her lover Marcel Cerdan, who died in a plane crash in 1949.

The Paris terror attacks took place on November 13, killing 129 people and leaving 368 injured.
