Eva Mendes says sweatpants are the 'number one cause of divorce in America'

She's never been married but that's not going to stop Eva Mendes dishing out advice to ladies wanting to keep their husband.

The Hollywood actress says that sweatpants should always be a no go, due to them being the number one cause of divorce in America.

However, let's not forget that Eva, 41, is in a relationship with Ryan Gosling. We wouldn't wear our dacky tracks in front of the Gos either.

"You can’t do sweatpants...ladies, number one cause of divorce in America. Sweatpants, no!" she said.

"I don't really like pants, I mean I will wear them — figuratively and literally — but I feel much more comfortable in a dress or skirt."

Is she hinting that she wears the trousers in her relationship with Ryan? We think so! 

The pair welcomed their first born, Esmeralda, at the start of the year, with Eva taking a year out of the spotlight during the pregnancy.

But she's back! And with a steady stream of advice for her fellow females.
