EXCLUSIVE: 'Workaholic' Amal Clooney is desperately dodging George's baby pleas

Oh how the tides have turned. He was once Hollywood's eternal bachelor but George Clooney is now piling on the pressure to have children with new wife, Amal.

TheFIX has learnt that George is desperate to start a family but human rights lawyer Amal, 37, wants to put plans on hold for the next year as she focuses on her work and active social life.

And who can blame her! The pair only got hitched in September last year so what's the rush, George?

"She’s loving society life in NYC, with dinners with fashion, acting and entertainment elite such as Tina Brown, Anna Wintour, Ellen Barken, CAA agents," says our source.

"But there’s friction because the two discussed parenthood, and George imagined that after he wrapped up his latest film, they’d retreat to their UK home, oversee renovations, and prepare for their first baby."

But that's not going to happen. In fact, our insider says career driven Amal isn't enjoying the baby pressure from George, 53, and her family.

The insider says: "She's told George that as long as he lets her dive into work this year and enjoy a fun social life, she'll settle down next year and begin trying for a pregnancy first thing in 2016."
