Bindi Irwin shuts down rumours that she had her tongue pierced

Jetting in to Brisbane after the AACTA awards, Bindi Irwin casually chatted with a journalist, revealing what appeared to be a tongue piercing.

Or a tic tac. Or a piece of gum. Watch the interview above.

Many viewers were quick to assume that Bindi had let out her inner rebel. But does Bindi even have an inner rebel?

The 17-year-old shut down the rumours on Twitter.

It looks like she won't be doing a Kylie Jenner and getting her lips done, wearing two-hours worth of make-up and dating someone totally inappropriate. Oh and documenting it all on Snapchat.

After all, Bindi's hardly the rebel, with her admitting last year that she once called her mum Terri after "messing up" at a festival.

She'd drank a mocha and well, she doesn't drink coffee. Not even a coffee that was half strength and weakened with chocolate.
