It's going to happen! Bart Simpson will be killed by Sideshow Bob in new episode

Brace yourself for some shocking news. Bart Simpson will be murdered by Sideshow Bob after 20-years of dodging the maniac.

Yep, The Simpsons Executive Al Jean confessed that Bob will finally devise a plan to finish off Bart, which doesn't get foiled at the last minute, during an episode set to air for Halloween.

Check out the audio above of Al, speaking at the ATX Festival in Austin, Texas, revealing why he finally decided on Bart's demise.

So, is this the end of Bart? Forever more? Not quite. The special episode is a one-off format and he will be back on the show as usual. Phew.

Bob was first introduced on the show in 1990 and began his quest to kill Bart in the "Cape Feare" episode in 1993.

Now…that's a long quest.
