BREAKING: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announce divorce after 10 years of marriage

After months of rumours that their 10-year marriage was on the rocks, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have confirmed their relationship is over and they are divorcing.

In a statement to E! news, the former Hollywood couple said: "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce.

"We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."

It would have been Ben, 42 and the 43-year-old actress'  10th wedding anniversary just yesterday.

However their split is hardly a surprise, with a moving truck being spotted at the couple's Brentwood home in LA several days ago.

The pair started dating in 2004 after meeting on Pearl Harbour and then working together on Daredevil..check them in the video below pashing.

They were engaged in April 2005, getting married six weeks later in a private ceremony.

They have three children together, Violet, 10, Seraphina, six, and three-year-old Sam.
