British artist creates world's largest gif, films it from space

When you first think about it, the phrase "world's largest gif" doesn't make sense – how can it be any larger than your screen?
Like this. British artists INSA paints massive pictures and patterns on outdoor surfaces, then combines them into a single animated image.
He was bankrolled by whiskey purveyors Ballantynes to head to Rio de Janeiro and work with a team of painters to make the world's largest animated painting.

It was so big that it took more than 570 man-hours to paint, and that overall more than 55,000 square metres were coloured.
The finished product was photographed from space by a satellite, and the images combined to form the finished product.
We're not sure what it has to do with Scotch, but it is absolutely stunning.
