Unusual Fitbit readings tell married couple they're expecting

A husband has discovered his wife is pregnant after taking to an internet forum to ask why her Fitbit device was registering unusual heart rate readings.

A Fitbit is a fitness and activity monitoring advice worn like a watch.

“My wife’s Fitbit is showing her heartbeat being consistently high over the last few days,” Reddit user YoungPTone wrote.

“2 days ago, a somewhat normal day, she logged 10 hours in the fat burning zone, which I would think to be impossible based on her activity level.

“I’m not sure if something is wrong with the sensor. Is there a way to reset or recalibrate the device? I’d like to try that before I contact customer service about a possible replacement,” he wrote.

The internet rose to the challenge – with several people flagging the possibility his wife was pregnant.

“Has she experienced anything really stressful in the last few days or is it a possibility she is pregnant?” user Thatwasunpleasant responded.

The man then said pregnancy was a “strong possibility”, and returned a day later to inform the community of the outcome.

“I’m going to be a dad!” he wrote.
