Twitter users unable to tweet, told 'service is down'
Twitter users have been left unable to tweet with a message saying that the service is 'temporarily over capacity' displaying for many people.
Reports of issues with Twitter peaked at just after 8am AEDT today.
A live outage map from DownDetector showed that the platform was experiencing problems around the world.

"Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing—we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon," Twitter reads on its own blog.
Twitter has now posted that the outage is under investigation.
"Investigating Irregularity with Twitter APIs," the company wrote on its Twitter status page.

Earlier this year, high-profile Twitter including Kanye West, Jeff Bezos, Apple, Elon Musk and Joe Biden were hacked.
The hack, which took place on July 15, targeted 130 accounts.
