Vodafone outage leaves thousands without service across Australia

Vodafone has restored its service to users across Australia who were left in the lurch overnight, when the company experienced nationwide outages across the network.

Customers took to social media to complain about problems with data, text and calls.

Some said they were without any service for more than three hours.

Customers also said they were unable to contact Vodafone directly to report the issues.

“We’re aware of an issues which is causing intermittent disruption to voice, data and text services for some customers,” Vodafone tweeted.

“We’re working to resolve ASAP. We don’t have an ETA at this time but will keep you updated.

“We’re very sorry for about the inconvenience,” it added.

Just after 2am, Vodafone tweeted it had resolved the problems.

"*UPDATE* Mobile services have been fully resolved following an issue which impacted part of the network last night," it tweeted.

"We thank our customers for their patience and apologise for the inconvenience caused."
