Cult of the Lamb takes out game of the year at Australia Game Developer Awards

Victorian video game creators have taken home the bulk of awards at Australia's leading video game awards night.

Melbourne studio Massive Monsters won Game of the Year at the 2022 Australian Game Developer Awards (AGDAs), as well as awards for Excellence in Gameplay, Excellence in Music, and Excellence in Art.

There were 70 game industry professionals who decided the winners across 13 categories.

Melbourne's Studio Drydock took out the Excellence in Narrative Games and Excellence in Mobile awards for their game Wylde Flowers.

This week gamers are accending on Melbourne for Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW), which included the AGDAS.

Gamers and tech lovers can learn more about the Aussie gaming industry at PAX Australia in Melbourne from Friday.
