A new app feature means you can snack without fear during online team meetings - as long as you don't speak with your mouth full.

As more and more people are forced to work from home during the coronavirus epidemic, Microsoft has revealed its latest update to the Teams app, which will blur out background noise, CNET has reported.

This could include vacuuming, a barking dog, outside traffic or, yes, the distinctive sound of illicit chewing.

The new technology detects all noise that is not the user's voice, and blanks it out of the call.

It will be available later this year.

But although Microsoft has released technology that can blur the background of a video-chat, there's still no way to hide your sandwich if you're on camera, sadly.
