Popular Aussie shopping website Cashrewards closes down
Popular shopping platform Cashrewards has shut down operations.
The cashback website, which offered discounts to customers who shopped through its platform, said it has now ceased making offers available on its website and app.
Cashback's closure was effective from 12pm today.

No reason was given for the immediate closure.
Customers who have made transactions over the past three days will still have their rewards honoured.
Cashback has asked customers to withdraw their money from the app by October 25.
"Members who have not withdrawn by this deadline, but have a linked bank or PayPal account, will have their available funds automatically transferred to those accounts," a note on its website reads.
All withdrawal claims must be received by December 12.

Cashrewards was founded in Sydney in 2014 by Andrew and Lorica Clarke and was used by over two million people.
It is owned by ANZ's external venture capital 1835i Ventures.
The website offered customers cash rewards for using their affiliate links to buy or book something from a retailer's website.
It partnered with major retailers including Apple, Myer, Target and Booking.com.
