Minds behind some of Australia's biggest companies make Young Rich List 2024
Eleven founders under the age of 40 have made the Australian Financial Review's Young Rich List 2024.
They are worth a collective $28.9 billion.
"The fortunes of the richest Australians aged 40 and under have soared almost 1600 per cent in 21 years," Rich List editor Yolanda Redrup said.
"When the list launched in 2003, the total net worth of the 62 people featured was only $2.5 billion.
"While much has changed, the dominant industries have stayed the same, with technology and retail driving the wealth creation of young Australians."

10. Max Li from Airwallex
Co-founder of Airwallex, a software for global payment and financial operations, Max Li came in 10th place.
He is one of three people behind the company to make the list.
The 40-year-old is worth $716 million.
It's his last year qualifying for the Young Rich List.
9. Jacob Dai from Airwallex
Jacob Dai, also a co-founder at Airwallex, came in ninth.
The 40-year-old is worth $898 million.
8. Nicholas Molnar from Afterpay
Nicholas Molnar shot to the rich list after founding the popular buy now, pay later company Afterpay.
The 33-year-old is worth $1.1 billion.
6. Adrian Portelli from LMCT+
Adrian Portelli founded LMCT+, a discount membership service and giveaway business.
The 35-year-old is worth $1.3 billion.
4. Robbie and James Ferguson from Immutable
Brothers Robbie and James Ferguson together founded the role-playing video game company Immutable.
They made their debut in the top five with a combined worth of $1.7 billion.
Their wealth jumped 50 per cent after increasing the value of their cryptocurrency tokens.
3. Sam Prince from Zambrero
Founder of popular Mexican restaurant chain Zambrero, Sam Prince, has retained his place in the third spot.
The 40-year-old grew his wealth from $1.6 billion last year to $1.8 billion this year.
2. Ed Craven from Stake.com
Ed Craven is the co-founder of online investing platform Stake.com.
The 29-year-old is the youngest person on the top 10 list and is worth $4.8 billion.
1. Melanie Perkins and Cliff Obrecht from Canva
Canva co-founders Melanie Perkins and Cliff Obrecht topped the list for the fifth year in a row, with an estimated net worth of $14 billion.
Their free online graphic design tool launched in 2013 and quickly became popular for creating social media graphics, promotional material, presentations and websites.
The couple, aged 37 and 38, made another $1 billion this year.
