The countries with the most resilient workforces in the world
A new report has found that Australian workforces are some of the "least resilient" in the developed world.
Australian businesses had a lack of career progression, upskilling opportunities, and flexible work options according to the report, which compared 13 countries.
Business consultancy group KellyOCG's report has ranked thirteen nations.

13. Australia
Out of 13 countries surveyed, Australia came in last place.
Australia was found to lag behind the rest of the world when comparing global workforces.
Nearly half - 49 per cent - of Australian bosses surveyed said they had difficulty sourcing and retaining the right staff.
Only 42 per cent believe artificial intelligence could help strengthen and train their workforce.
Overall, Australia scored the lowest on the Workforce Resilience Index of the 13 countries sampled.
11. Canada
Canada just missed out on the top 10.
Globally, 18 per cent of business executives believe that returning to the office after the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative effect on workplace culture.
By comparison, one in three Australian executives thought returning to the office had negatively impacted workplace culture.
8. US
Emphasis on developing AI solutions for training employees put the US in eighth place.
"Australian businesses are least likely to use AI to measure productivity, efficiency and engagement when compared to businesses globally, and a third have no plans to do so," the study found.
7. UK
Australian businesses were told they need to develop long-term workforce strategies that focus on career development, meaningful employee engagement, and thoughtful implementation of AI tools.
The UK placed higher on the index, earning seventh place.
6. Switzerland
European financial powerhouse Switzerland was considered to have a highly resilient workforce.
The study also found that in businesses around the world, more work was needed to be done to promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
It found that in many countries, workers who did not feel represented were more likely to quit their companies.
5. Singapore
The study found that the best-performing companies around the world were proactive when it came to supporting the mental health of their employees.
Singapore was overall found to have the fifth most resilient workforce.
3. Sweden
Sweden placed third on the list of the world's most resilient workforces.
2. Germany
The always organised and efficient Germany placed second on the global ranking, which found they excelled at building agile, capable, and inclusive workforces.
1. Norway
According to business consultancy firm Kelly, Norway is where Australia should set its sights when it comes to managing its workforce.
They had the highest score on the Workforce Resilience Index in the world.
