Young man hit by car on Gold Coast

A 21-year-old man has been hospitalised with serious head injuries after a car struck him.
The man was hit on Morala Avenue at Runaway Bay around 10.30pm (AEST) on New Year's Eve.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University hospital with serious head injuries.

The driver of the car is assisting police.
