Young man dies on Sydney road after shooting

A man, believed to be aged in his 20s, has been shot dead in the south-western Sydney suburb of Cabramatta.

Emergency services were called to reports of a shooting on Jasmine Crescent about 10.45pm, and found the man on the road.

He had critical injuries and died at the scene, and is yet to be formally identified.

Police have established a crime scene and investigations are underway.
