A 10-year-old boy was grabbed and threatened by four intruders who entered his home in Melbourne’s south-east this morning.

The intruders gained entry to the Daniell Crescent, Caulfield home while the boy’s family were sleeping, police said.

They grabbed him and told him to return to his bedroom, before they stole a laptop and an Audi, police allege.

The men left in the car, which is described as a grey 2015 Audi 4WD SQ5, with number plates AEJ 600 .

Senior Constable Anthony Kruska said the boy’s composure during the incident was remarkable.

“The conduct of this 10-year-old boy is nothing short of remarkable,” he said.

“He’s maintained his composure after being threatened and has allowed the offenders to carry out what they were going to do to protect any further harm to him or his family,” he said.

The offenders are yet to be identified.
