Young Aussie liver recipient says thanks

At just four years old, Indi Warner has already had the fight of her life.

Born with Biliary Atresia, she had a liver transplant at just seven months old.

Now four, the plucky Sydney youngster has taken it all in her stride and wears her battle scars with pride.

Her mum Kylie says the entire family is inspired by Indi's strength.

She starts kinder next year and enjoys playing soccer, running around the backyard and dancing with her big sister.

"Just creating general havoc like any kid her age," she told AAP.

"We didn't realise how life threatening her condition was until she was 10 days old, but she's been sick since she was born and taken it all in her stride."

Her dad Mat, a professional photographer, has taken photos of Indi dressed as a boxer in a bid to pay homage to all the anonymous organ donors and their families.

"Because of them, my daughter has been given a second chance at life," Mat said.
