You know nothing, Jon Snow – especially how to comport yourself at a dinner party

If Game of Thrones character Jon Snow was ever on your list of fantasy dinner companions, you’d best think again.

In a skit for NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, actor Kit Harrington’s character makes for a lousy dinner guest in his bid to make polite small talk.

“Spring has officially sprung,” one guest says, raising his glass.

Cut to Snow: “Winter is coming,” he broods.

“Who’s your new friend again, Seth?" another guest asks.

“The snow will fall 100 feet deep,” Snow continues.

“The ice wind will howl out of the North and the sun hides its faces for years.

“Little children will all be born and die in the darkness.”

Well, that escalated quickly.

Thankfully, after some counselling from Seth about how to interact with humans outside of Westeros, Snow finally lightens up and ends up flirting with one of the other party guests.

He’s a warrior of the Wall, but when it comes to witty repartee, Jon Snow seems to know nothing.
