Notorious stretch of road sees another near-fatal collision
A man is in a serious condition after a head-on collision south of Adelaide today.
Country Fire Service volunteers worked to rescue the 61-year-old driver and his passenger, a 60-year-old woman, from the wreckage after their car collided with a Toyota Hilux on Main South Road near Yankalilla about midday.
The 20-year-old occupants of the ute were uninjured.

The stretch of road is notorious for crashes with about one every two months.
The crash comes one day after a head-on collision near Rhynie in the state's mid-north claimed the life of a 53-year-old man from Teringie.
Police are investigating.
