Independent senator Nick Xenophon has raised concerns with Treasurer Scott Morrison over the potential sale of Ausgrid to China.
Senator Xenophon has written to Mr Morrison asking whether security and defence advice has been sought on the possible sale of the electricity distributor by the NSW government to State Grid Corporation of China, the Australian Financial Review reports on Tuesday.
"The fact we have a national electricity market means that this has national implications," he said.
