'World's sorest loser' blows up at rivals in reality cooking show

A reality cooking show contestant in the UK has blown up at his rivals and ordered the winner leave his house in a finale that had viewers cringing overnight.

The latest Come Dine With Me contest — which sees four strangers each host a dinner party at their own home and score their competitors’ performances — ended with an awkward tantrum by a contestant named Peter who embarked on a nasty rant when he discovered he had placed fourth.

His fellow contestants awkwardly avoided eye contact as Peter breathed heavily and calmly unleashed his fury.

"Dear lord, what a sad little life, Jane,” Peter says to the winner who he accused of destroying his chance at victory.

"You ruined my night completely so you could have the money but I hope now you spend it on getting some lessons on grace and decorum because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on.

"So, Jane, take your money and get off my property."

When another contestant chimed in that she didn't understand the insult, Peter turned his aim at her. "Well you wouldn’t. Let’s be honest: there’s nobody in there love," he said.

Viewers of the Channel 4 program flocked to social media to praise the “best episode ever” while some media has labelled Peter the “world's sorest loser".

The prize for winning the competition is $2000.
